Have you heard of Pepperplate?

Pepperplate Is a recipe/menu-planning app. that I discovered while scanning available apps for the Nook.

I think I love it!

I’ve only begun to play around with it but what I’ve seen so far leads me to think I may have discovered something to help get my disorderly booty in some kind of gear (where menu-planning is concerned).

Here’s what I know so far;

I can access my recipes (or whatever I’ve put on my Pepperplate account) through my Nook without going online. Which means I can use my Nook in the grocery store to check my shopping list for the menu planned or I can just look directly at the recipe in mind.

I have already used the bookmarklet to add a couple of recipes from Susan’s Blog over at Wild Life In The Woods. and I plan to visit my Pinterest Food Board and put those recipes on my Pepperplate account, too.

Do any of you use Pepperplate? What are your thoughts?

    I have recently discovered Pepperplate, to use on my i-phone.
    Pros: Simple to use, easy to import recipes one by one, great shopping list, menu planning, ease of use, and sharing recipes is simple.
    Cons: I do a lot of my “data entry” on their website which seems very laggy, and crashes quiet often for me.Some functionality that is on the website is not available on the phone app, so you can’t really alter certain things like “menus’ on the go.

    Over all, this is still the best app I have currently found to let me take my recipes with me for shopping etc. I look forward to them getting less buggy in the future.

  2. I have my recipes in Evernote – tagged so I can search and find the recipes in the grocery store for ingredients.

    Looks interesting tho’!

  3. I really like it. I have the epicurious app, that creates shopping lists, but I really like on this one that you can import recipes from other sites. (On epicurious, you only have access to THEIR recipes, which are what I use very often, but, this is mo’bettah, if I’ll just do the work of importing the recipe before I leave the house.

      I envision setting aside some time to get my recipes transferred there and then it’s a fairly simple matter to just add new ones as I try and like them.

      woot

      First stop will be your blog to grab the favorite items. :)

  4. I’ve never heard of it. I’ll go take a look-see, and get back with you.
