My good friend Susan over at Wild Life in the Woods is most definitely a fine foodie. She’s been the source of many a wonderful recipe that my entire family has enjoyed.
Then there’s me…
I do stuff like this:
Yep.
I put the pie in the oven. Set the timer. And then LEFT for two and a half hours!
I ran errands and dropped my daughter off at a friends house and after two hours was sixteen miles away when I remembered the pie and almost drove off the road trying to pull over and call my next door neighbor to go in and make sure my kitchen wasn’t ablaze.

Perhaps you should name your new recipe: Certifiably Menopausal Pie
BAH! You made me snort.
Oh honey, I simply don’t know what to say about this one…. I am happy that you did get to enjoy something from it though. We have AL done this same thing at some time in our adult lives…. I’m sure! It was nice of you to share your pain with us!

Thanks.
Hey, I saw a recipe for Whoopie Pies recently. It made me smile.
Hilarious (because it happened to you instead of me).
Your day will come, my friend. heh heh
Robin, you give me hope that I can indeed have a family and be a grown up without ever being good at cooking
In an effort to redeem myself, there’s a beautifully baked peach pie cooling on my stove right this minute.
Oh, poor Robin! Could you salvage any of it? Scoop out the filling from the center? Anything? I just cringe to think of something as yummy as peaches and blueberries dying such an ignoble death!
I had a lovely heaping bowl (while it was still warm) with a large dollop of vanilla ice cream. It was lovely.
