Go fly a kite. Seriously!

We spent the day at East Lake today, in gorgeous Central Oregon.

How many people does it take to fly a Vision Dual Line Sport Kite? More than four, evidently. We did manage to keep it in the air for about 5 minutes – ONCE. [note: This kite is listed in the Beginner section in the shop linked]
I bought this kite for our family while in Huntington Beach a few years ago. That same trip when I met the Fun Girls.

Batman also spent some lovely time fishing.

Batgirl spent some time being cute!

When I was a kid, we made tails for kites, it made them more stable and kept them from diving to one side or another. Your beginner kite looks more complex than anything we ever built. Sorry you had to wear a sweathshirt during the day in July, but the setting is beautiful, nonetheless.

  5. Oh we like flying kites – haven’t done that in years. Gorgeous scenery and blue sky too.

  6. Oh, I love that you all got to fly that kite!!! I think you got it on the pier, didn’t you? Sweet pictures!!! Making memories! And Lando got in on the act, too! Love it all!!!

Yes! Melody went with me and we found the kite shop. Woot.
I wish I could figure out how to load the video of Lando wailing hysterically because he couldn’t chase the kite. Pretty funny.

Looks like a lovely day. My eight year old wants to fly a kite. We need to find a place where we can do so.

Hello! I'm gratified that you stopped by. I'd love to hear from you.
