It’s not what you think.
I’m talking about my little Wish Bird. All she lacks is her legs, but I am waiting on buying the necessary copper wire for those.
The birdie in the photos is original size but I’ve also reduced the size of the pattern and am in progress on a smaller version of the same birdie. I think they’ll look charming together in my kitchen window. (note: the second birdie won’t have the little pocket for prayers, sayings, quotes, etc…)
On a totally different subject – I went to The Stitchin’ Post to get fabric for this project and a few others on my to-do list. I found a nice big package of fairly large scraps for sale. I snagged it. It was stuffed with Christmas-themed fabric. Cute prints like snowflakes, trees, Christmas-y birds and such. Then there was one I didn’t see until I got home. It made me LAUGH OUT LOUD! Are you ready? Here it is

I thought of Chloe’s “Man Candy Mondays”. *still chuckling*

[...] A few weeks ago I made Valori Wells’ little Wish Bird. [...]
Man Candy Monday, the fabric edition. haha
Hilarious! Maybe Batman could used a pair of boxer shorts with that print for Christmas!!! Ha Ha!
D’oh!! That WOULD be funny.
Love the bird. And the fabric? Oh. my. goodness.
Oh man, that is hilarious – the fabric, not the bird… I really LOVE the bird!
He he he….. he Man!
