They grow up so fast.
As someone who never really liked chickens (even when living on a ranch and being responsible for feeding them when I was 15) I am having a lot of fun seeing their different personalities emerge.
Lupin, the white leghorn, is the most friendly and inquisitive. I think she’d be the one I could teach to play the piano for food. BAH! Clearly, that is not going to happen.
Nobody could have told me they’d be this entertaining. I put a dowel across the inside of their brooder to create a roost bar about 8 inches off the floor, and they are very funny to watch as they launch themselves up to land on it and then off in wild directions from atop it. I am patiently working to get a good action shot of this madcap flap. So far I just have blurrrr.

They are so cute!!! I love that we're kind of getting to know them long distance!
