It’s hard to believe it’s been thirty years

I remember it very clearly.   I was kneeling in front of my stereo trying to find a station that  (I can’t even believe I’m saying this) wasn’t playing the Beatles.   I was 17 and didn’t have the same musical sensibilities I later developed.   After four or five attempts  I actually said, “Man! Did somebody die?”   Then an announcer answered with the tragic news of John Lennon being shot.

I’ve since become a fairly devoted Beatles lover.   Yet, it became clear this morning that I am a bad Mother when my daughter said, “Who is John Lennon?”.    *gasp*

That's interesting that your comment back then was exactly what had happened. :( At the time, I was still listening to little kid music and had no idea what everyone was talking about that day.

Oh Susan – if it's possible – I adore you even more! Tanks

  3. I owe my own children's Beatle Mania to their father's exquisite taste in music.
